The Woman's Club of Hollywood has served the Hollywood Community for 118 years, since the original members built Hollywood's first public library, the Hollywood Studio Club and their outdoor music recitals morphed into the Hollywood Bowl. The Club served wherever there was a need. Today this service includes assisting our Veterans, foster and adoptive children and Autistic Teenagers through the Jeffrey Foundation's program for mothers of Special Needs Children. And, most importantly, preserving our own National Historic Landmark property, helping to save and preserve other Historic Hollywood buildings, continuing the legacy that began in 1905.
The Woman's Club offers a variety of social, informative and fun events to members and the community, such as Yoga Classes, AA group meetings, Coffee networking Mornings, writers' workshops, performers' workshops, historic preservation classes and more. We also offer Silent Movie Nights, movie showings, Musical events, Historic Hollywood events with special speakers, wine and hors oeuvres, fabulous Fundraising evenings of entertainment.
Our Club Mission is to educate, inform and entertain the community through fascinating workshops for writers, artists, musicians, performers that create an awareness of the importance of conserving Hollywood's special historic places, the memory of those who went before us and the future generations to continue the legacy of our historic founders and the legacy those early pioneers bestowed on us.
